  • The boards look to pretty to cut, are they functional??

End grain cutting boards are prized for their exceptional durability and longevity. Constructed by arranging wood fibers vertically, the surface allows knife blades to penetrate between the fibers rather than cutting across them. This design minimizes wear and tear on both the board and the knives, preserving sharp edges longer and reducing visible knife marks. End grain boards also offer superior resistance to deep scratches and cracking, making them an ideal choice for heavy-duty kitchen use. Their durability combined with natural self-healing properties ensures they maintain a reliable cutting surface over years of regular use.
